Many consultants look at some kind of partnership or collaboration with other consultants to extend the range of services they can offer, and the clients they can serve. Especially for the established, successful consultant, this is a great way to move forward toward new opportunities.
Unfortunately, I suspect that most training consultants pick the wrong type of collaborator to work with. Because the initial choice is wrong, the results aren't what was hoped for, and the collaboration dissolves after a weak run.
They pick the wrong person because they look in the mirror, instead of at their own shadow.
